The focus and goal of Long Branch Barns is to provide the highest quality in horse care, promote educated horsemanship and riding, and provide a safe and relaxing environment for horse and rider to enjoy. This barn is one of Chattanooga's premier equestrian facilities that promotes hunter/jumper showing as well as pleasure and trail riding. The large riding arena offers the rider a place to practice control and movements on the flat or over fences. The property also has an expansive trail system that provides the trail rider with miles of trails and many natural obstacles including water crossings, natural jumps and plenty of hills as well as beautiful natural scenery to take in while on the trails. Our trail system is vast and links to other trail systems in the Georgia State Parks system and the Lula Lake Land Trust. Lane Taylor is the trainer and manager of Long Branch Barns and offers lessons from the beginner to the advanced rider and training and exercise for horses. Lane's training is influenced with horse show success on the A circuit, showing hunters and jumpers, and she has successfully bred and trained her own horses. Long Branch Barns continues to train successful competitors on the regional and national show circuits. Long Branch Barns has a six-stall barn, with 10 x 10 stalls with windows to the outside. There are 12 managed pastures for turnout with shelters. Long Branch has hot/cold wash stalls and plenty of crosstie areas and tack rooms and an extra storage barn to provide a place for our boarders to store large equipment. Long Branch offers a structured boarding program that ensures the utmost care for client's horses and negotiated boarding rates based on need from full board to pasture board. All horses are fed hay and grain twice daily. Our full board program is 12-hour turnout and 12 hour stall rest, fed in stalls. But if you prefer all turn-out, safe pasture board is also offered. Our horses are fed a top quality feed that is 14% protein and 6% fat, a good mixture of supplements, energy and weight maintenance; and a grass hay is fed twice a day to ensure that every horse is getting the proper amount of nutrition. Long Branch is an ideal environment for the child rider who is just starting their horse life-style, a great place for the adult rider to focus on their training, and a needed get away from the city life. Long Branch is twenty minutes from downtown Chattanooga and ten minutes from the front of Lookout Mtn.
